FunShot LA

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Effective August 30, 2026

This policy explains how availability requests, reservations, payments, cancellations, rescheduling, and onsite service work for FunShot LA photo booth bookings. Please read it before submitting a request. These website terms supplement, but do not replace, the final event-service agreement.

Availability and reservations

  • Submitting an availability request does not reserve an event date.
  • FunShot LA reviews the requested date and time, venue, travel requirements, setup access, and service details before approving a booking.
  • When a request is approved, FunShot LA may place a tentative 24-hour hold on the date and send a secure Stripe payment link.
  • The reservation is confirmed only after the required payment is successfully received.
  • If payment is not received before the stated hold deadline, FunShot LA may release the date without further obligation.

Payments

  • A 30% booking retainer is required to confirm a reservation. The retainer is credited toward the selected package total.
  • The remaining 70% is due seven calendar days before the scheduled event.
  • If FunShot LA accepts a booking within seven calendar days of the event, the full package total is due immediately.
  • Travel, parking, tolls, venue-access charges, upgrades, and approved add-ons are disclosed before final approval whenever reasonably known.
  • Additional service time is $150 per hour when available and approved.

Customer cancellations

  • The 30% booking retainer is non-refundable because FunShot LA reserves the date and may turn away other work.
  • If the customer cancels more than seven calendar days before the scheduled event, FunShot LA refunds any payment received above the 30% retainer.
  • If the customer cancels seven calendar days or fewer before the scheduled event, all payments are non-refundable because staffing, preparation, design work, supplies, and scheduling have been committed.
  • Cancellation requests must be sent in writing to funshot.photobooth@gmail.com.

Rescheduling

A customer may request one complimentary reschedule to a date within 12 months of the original event date, subject to availability. Amounts already paid will be applied to the replacement booking. Package-price changes, added travel, third-party costs, venue requirements, and new add-ons remain payable. A reschedule is not confirmed until FunShot LA accepts the new date in writing.

If FunShot LA must cancel

If FunShot LA cannot perform the booked service and cannot provide a mutually acceptable replacement date or comparable replacement service, FunShot LA will refund all payments made directly to FunShot LA for the affected booking.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. After the refund is submitted to Stripe, the customer’s bank or card issuer generally posts it within 5–10 business days. Bank processing times are outside FunShot LA’s control.

Venue, travel, and setup requirements

  • The client must provide timely venue access and a safe, level, weather-protected setup area suitable for the selected booth.
  • A properly grounded electrical outlet must be available within the distance stated in the final event agreement.
  • Instant text/email sharing and live uploads depend on available internet or cellular service. Photos may be delivered or uploaded after the event when connectivity is unavailable.
  • Travel beyond 50 miles is charged at $1.50 per mile. The applicable route, parking, toll, loading, stairs, freight-elevator, insurance, or venue-access charges will be disclosed before booking approval whenever reasonably known.
  • Exact load-in, setup, teardown, parking, venue contact, stairs, elevator, and certificate-of-insurance requirements must be provided before the event.

Safety and equipment

  • The client is responsible for loss or damage caused by guests through misuse, negligence, intentional acts, or unsafe conduct, excluding normal wear and equipment malfunction.
  • FunShot LA may pause or end service when conditions threaten guests, staff, or equipment. When circumstances reasonably permit, the client or venue contact will have an opportunity to correct the condition.
  • Service time lost because the venue is inaccessible, unsafe, or not ready may not be extendable when another commitment or venue restriction prevents it.

Event images and privacy

  • Contact and event information is used to respond to requests, administer bookings, process payments, provide service, and communicate about the event.
  • Permission to use event images for the FunShot LA portfolio or social media is requested separately and is optional. Declining marketing permission does not affect booking eligibility.
  • Guests are responsible for choosing whether to participate in the photo booth. The booking client should communicate any event-specific privacy requirements before the event.

Events outside reasonable control

For serious circumstances outside either party’s reasonable control—including unsafe conditions, government restrictions, natural disasters, widespread outages, or venue closure—the parties will first try to reschedule when feasible. Any refund or credit will consider services already performed, non-recoverable costs already committed, the final event agreement, and applicable law.
